He is a Board-certified Orthodontist with a private practice catering to all aspects of orthodontic treatment, in Pune, since the last 20 years. He completed his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai (Mumbai University) in 2000 and completed his MDS (Masters in Dental Surgery) in Orthodontics from MCODS (Manipal College of Dental Sciences), Mangalore ( Manipal University) in 2002.
He has been a university rank holder due his undergraduate studies and has secured All India Rank number 1 in post graduate entrance exam conducted by Manipal University in the year 2000. He has completed international Mini Residency programs in advanced Orthodontics at the Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea and at Taipeh Medical University, Taipeh, Taiwan. He certified as a Diplomate of National Board (DNB), awarded by the National Board of Medical Sciences, in 2003 and as a Diplomate of the Indian Board of Orthodontics in 2013. He was attached as a visiting orthodontic consultant to a private Dental clinic and Medical Care center in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 15 years from 2005 till 2020.
He is a certified Invisalign Provider. He is an adjunct faculty at the Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, has an academic teaching career of more than 15 years and has authored publications in both national and international journals. He is also on the board of reviewers for many of these journals. He has conducted national workshops related to the use of TADs (Temporary Anchorage Devices) in Orthodontics.
He has been an invited keynote and guest speaker at the Indian Orthodontic Society national conferences, post graduate student conventions and at various national and international orthodontic forums. He has served as an Executive Committee (EC) member of the Indian
Orthodontic Society for three terms (2021-22, 2019-21, 2017-18). He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Indian Board of Orthodontics. His clinical and research interests include aligner orthodontics, temporary anchorage devices, orthodontic resolution of impacted teeth, adult/interdisciplinary treatment, and biological mechanisms related to orthodontic tooth movement.
